For fire protection, LaSuCa has two pumps that can provide 4,000 gpm at 100' head from Bayou Teche or from the industrial park off Highway 31. Numerous hose openings exist inside and outside the factory. The LaSuCa factory is also protected by a dry-type sprinkler supplied by a 1,000-gpm diesel engine-driven vertical pump.
